The tournament, which is in its sixth year, is sponsored by the Guyana Beverage Company under its Busta brand.

The tournament should have started in early July but the rainy season forced organisers to postpone the launching.

All matches start at 09.30 hours and teams would be outfitted in Busta T/Shirts provided by the sponsors.

Defending champions Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets (RHTG&G) will start the defence of their title against a young Bermine team at the Area ‘H’ ground.

RHTG&G will miss the services of Esaun and  Royston Crandon and Assad Fudadin, who are with the national team preparing to contest the Airtel Champions League twenty20 tournament in South Africa.

However, the team is still likely to start as favourites since they have players like Delbert Hicks, Renwick Batson, Jason Sinclair, Khemraj Mahadeo, Troy Mathieson, Dominic Rickie, Shawn Perreira and Loydel Lewis in the lineup.

Bermine would depend heavily on Julian Moore, Devon Clements, Eugene La Fleur and Joemal La Fleur.

Meanwhile West Berbice would play Blairmont at Blairmont with the visitors having Keon Fraser, Krisendat Ramoo, Keyron Fraser, Kwesi Mentore, Keith Fraser and Sherwin Mc Pherson in their lineup. Blairmont, which is in the process of rebuilding its team, have Romain Boodram, Nedesh Basdeo, Neil Singh and Karamdat Bissoondyal and could pose a problem for the visitors.
Over at the Cumberland Ground in Canje, Young Warriors would host Rose Hall/Canje.

Young Warriors would be led by Seon Hetmyer, Anil Beharry, Shimron Hetmyer, Ishwar Singh, Farouk Hussain and the dangerous hard hitting opener Maxie De Jonge. Rose Hall/Canje’s effort would be led by Romash Munna, Sasenarine Sookdeo, Vishal Mohabir, Videsh Singh, Raid Ally and Kevin Ramdeen.

Port Mourant Karibee Rice Cricket Club will also start as favourites at home versus Police.
Port Mourant will be spearheaded by Rajiv Ivan, Homchand Pooran, Moshin Perkhan, Steve Latcha and Zaheer Khan. Police would look to Michael Newland, Albert Sinclair, Kellon Henry and Cyrus Gibson.
