Namilco Football Festival fixtures released

The official dates for the first round of match in the fourth annual Fruta Conquerors organized Namilco Football Festival has been  released and the tournament commences on Saturday at the Tucville Playfield with a double header.

In the opening match up of the tournament, Victoria Kings will go head to head with Monnedderlust from 6pm then in the feature match up at 8pm, Santos faces Pele.

Prior to those two matches, a playoff between Grove Hi Tech and New Amsterdam United is scheduled. The winner of this match will be the final team of the sixteen teams participating in the competition.

The competition continues on October 25 with Fruta Conquerors challenging Seawall United at 6pm then with Alpha ‘The Hammer’ United colliding with Milerock at 8pm.

On  October 27 the curtain raiser for the night will see Buxton United taking on defending champions Sunburst Camptown then the Guyana Defence Forces clashes with Bakewell Buxton Stars.

the winner of the Grove Hi Tec/New Amsterdam match doing battle with Rosignol United then 2009 runner up, BK International Western Tigers face Riddim Squad.

Meanwhile, Namilco Football Festival supporters 2Js General Store and Juniors jewellery handed over the   Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and the Highest Goal Scorer award yesterday.
