Madhoo qualifies for Ladbrokes World darts C/ships

Guyana’s top darts player Norman Madhoo Saturday night qualified to participate in next month’s Ladbrokes.com World darts Championships when he won the Carob Beer Caribbean and South American Masters tournament in Barbados.

Madhoo defeated Barbadian Anthony Forde 4-2 in Saturday night’s final to book his place for next month’s world championships.
According to reports Madhoo played “scintillating darts to defeat Forde for the second year running.”

Another Guyanese Sudesh Fitzgerald the number three seed and a previous winner of the tournament, was defeated 2-3 by another Barbadian Clyde Murrell but Anthony Bissoondyal avenged his countryman’s defeat by stopping Murrell 4-3 in their quarter final clash.
In the semi-finals Madhoo got past Martinus Alfred of St Lucia 4-1 while Forde defeated Bissoondyal by a similar margin.
