Dominoes competition proceeds for mother of hole-in-the-heart infant

Lyall Gittens has collaborated with Next Level Domino Corporation to donate US$100 to Shenise Lopes, the woman whose 10-month-old daughter is in need of urgent heart surgery.

The donation was done at the Guinness Bar yesterday and Gittens said the charitable move was one of the reasons for him staging the recent Inter-Corporation Domino Competition.

Lopes has received US$3,000 from the Ministry of Health but so far no other financial support has been forthcoming.

The infant, Amayah Lopes, of 209 Kuru Kururu, has been living with heart troubles for almost all her life.
Now her life depends entirely on her undergoing urgent heart surgery.

The surgery cannot be performed in Guyana so the infant must be taken to India where the surgery can be done. Persons interested in assisting to save this child’s life can contact Shenise Lopes on 661- 2527 or Andray Welcome on 694-2654/2285147.

Persons may also make a direct contribution to Republic Bank Account No. 267-282-2 or Scotia Bank Account No. 10013366.
