Super Cat in super win at Kennard Memorial Boxing Day meet

Sabrina Princess won the feature event while Super Cat got the better of Wicked Intentions as the Kennard Memorial Turf Club staged its Boxing Day horse race meet on Sunday.

In the feature event Sabrina Princess, ridden by Paul Delph, came from behind to beat out The Message, Tropical Fashion and Face the Music respectively and cart off the one million dollars first prize.

And in one of the biggest upset of the day’s activities, Super Cat beat pre race favourite Wicked Intention into third place in the Digicel-sponsored, two-year-old event over a distance of six furlongs.

Second was Royal Salute while Water Wave was fourth.

The K and Lower event P&P Insurance Brokers event was won by Beyonce who defeated Bush Man and Natural Black in that order to cart off the $110,000 first prize while Fresh Prospect stormed home in the F and Lower six-furlong event to win the $250,000 first prize.
Laura Lee in Flight, Home Bush Baby and Sweet Revenge occupied the next three places respectively.

The day was marred by the sudden deaths of Annie’s Playmate and Sweet Revenge who collapsed and were later pronounced dead.
