South Africa tour, a good experience says Etienne

ROSEAU, Dominica,  CMC – West Indies Women’s all rounder Pearl Etienne has described her first stint with the team as a rewarding experience.

Etienne returned to the island last week, after being part of the successful West Indies Women’s side that took part in the ICC Women’s World Challenge in South Africa.

She feels that she is now a better cricketer because of the experience she gained.
“I enjoyed every moment of it, and I also learnt a lot of things, which I can pass on to the other female cricketers here,” she said.

“I improved on my fielding a great deal. My physicals, my bowling, discipline, patience, and batting, all these areas of my game improved.”

Etienne added: “Although I did not get to play many games due to a shoulder injury, it was still a great experience just sitting out there watching and learning.
