Trent Bridge to host 2012 Windies

NOTTINGHAM, England, CMC – Trent Bridge will be one of the stops on West Indies’ tour of England in two years time.

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club has confirmed that the ground will host a Twenty20 International, and a Test between the two sides.

“We thoroughly enjoyed hosting the West Indian team during the ICC World Twenty20 [last year],” said Notts chief executive Derek Brewer.

“I hope that our supporters will see a T20I match against England at Trent Bridge as a very exciting prospect.”

Much to the delight of Brewer, Notts has also been able to secure the rights to stage other significant matches over the next two years.

“We’re pleased with the programme we have secured,” he said. “Competing with other venues for the right to stage international matches is very challenging.”

West Indies are set to play three Tests, three One-day Internationals, and the T20I at Trent Bridge on their tour of England.

The England & Wales Cricket Board is yet to announce the full itinerary for the tour.
