Bayridge supports Namilco Football Festival

The Best Goal Keeper award for the fourth edition of the Namilco Football Festival  organized by  Fruta Conquerors Football Club will be sponsored by the Bayridge Taxi Service on Sheriff Street.

Proprietor of the company, Mark Griffith, presented the organizers with a cell phone and $5000 worth of credit at the Sheriff Street branch to be awarded to the best goalkeeper of the competition.

Griffith said for  sometime now he had been  searching for an event to make a positive contribution and after seeing and reading about the Namilco Football Festival and what it does for the Tucville Playground and the Fruta Conquerors club, he decided that he would make his contribution to the event.
Receiving the award from Griffith was Vice President of the Fruta Conquerors club, Ivor Thomson.

Also present were  the club’s president Marlan Cole and former Bayridge Taxi Service manager, Trevor Cox.

Thompson, speaking on behalf of the club, said  that they are pleased to be recognized as making a positive contribution to the development of youths and the society in general.

The event which kicked off on Saturday, continues tomorrow at the Tucville Playfield at 6pm with Buxton United versus Camptown and the Guyana Defence Force and Buxton Stars battle at 8pm
