Dave Martins Haiti song to debut at benefit concert tonight

He calls the song a message of hope and titled it, “Benitot Haiti” which translates to “See you [soon] Haiti”. Martins is using his music to tell Haitians tomorrow is coming and that in time they will laugh and smile again.

Speaking with The Scene briefly on Thursday the Guyanese icon revealed the song came out of an idea he had which was only developed after he was asked to perform at the concert. Martins said he got the call and went ahead and wrote the song which says “Haiti will rise again”. The rhythm is upbeat as it the message, he stated, adding that a few other local artistes have been asked to collaborate with him on the song for the event.
