Wanted bulletin issued for man in septic tank murder case

Police have issued a wanted bulletin for a man who they say is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Constable Igriss Bobb-Blackman.

Sven Niles, 38, whose last known address was Lot 44 Princes Street, Georgetown is the man wanted by police.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Niles is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers: 268-2298, 268-2343, 268-2222, 226-1326, 225-6411, 911 or the nearest police station. All information, police said, will be treated with strict confidence.

The wanted man, according to police, is a carpenter.

Blackman’s body was found in a septic tank at his residence at Parafait Harmonie, West Bank Demerara on January 20.

On Monday Desiree Jeffers, 58, of Parfait Harmonie was arraigned before Magistrate Natasha Hatmin at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court for the murder of Blackman who was her reputed husband.

The same morning police had arrested three persons at a Princes Street address as they continued investigations into the case.
