Police this afternoon said they were investigating the murder of Rampattie Ramsundar, called ‘Auntie Daro,’ of Newtown, Enmore, East Coast Demerara.
In a statement, police said Ramsundar, who lived alone, was found in the kitchen of her home at about 10:45 this morning. Her hands were tied and there were marks of violence about her body. The house had been ransacked.
A tracker dog has since led police to the house of a man who Ramsundar had a feud with.
Ramsundar’s body is at the Lyken Funeral Home, awaiting a post-mortem examination. (See detailed story at 5 am)
