Port officials consult on terrorism

(BBC) A workshop on combating terrorism for maritime security officials in seven Caribbean nations has ended in Grenada.

The workshop, organised by the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism, discussed such issues as cruise ship terminal security, bomb and drug detection, and passenger and luggage screening.

Port security representatives attended from Barbados, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and Grenada.
