The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 5 am today at La Belle Alliance Public Road, Essequibo Coast and which resulted in the death of Jomo Matthews, 15 years, of Danielstown, Essequibo.
Investigations revealed that Matthews and two others were on a pedal cycle proceeding along the roadway, when a motor vehicle collided with them, a police release said.
Matthews sustained injuries and was taken to the Suddie Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations are in progress.
