The police are investigating an incident that occurred at about 5 pm yesterday at Barama Road, Buck Hall, Essequibo Coast and which resulted in the death of Chaitram Sooknarine, 43 years of Anna Regina, Essequibo Coast.
Police say that investigations revealed that Sooknarine, along with Trevor Pearson and Earnko Pearson both of Mainstay, Essequibo, were in the tray of a motor lorry which was proceeding along the Barama Road, when the driver is reported to have lost control of the vehicle which toppled resulting in them suffering injuries.
They were taken to the Suddie Hospital, where Sooknarine was pronounced dead on arrival while Trevor Pearson was referred to the GPHC and Earnko Pearson admitted at the Suddie Hospital for medical treatment.
