City courts for temporary relocation

The Georgetown Magistrates’ court building, at Avenue of the Republic, Brickdam and Croal Street, is to be repaired and rehabilitated, prompting the relocation of several courts.

The former Globe Trust Building, where the city courts will be temporarily housed.

In a notice, acting Chancellor Carl Singh advises that courts one, two, three, five, eight and nine will be relocated to the former Globe Trust building at 92 Middle Street, Georgetown with effect from Monday.

Notices signed by acting Chancellor were posted around the court informing the public of the move. According to the notices, the courts will be housed at the new location until further notice.
