CARICOM lauds Valley’s contribution to regional trade agenda

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is mourning the passing of Kenneth Valley, former Minister of Trade, Trinidad and Tobago and lauds the “significant contribution” he made to the community.

According to a press release from the CARICOM Secretariat, acting Secretary-General Ambassador Lolita Applewhaite noted Valley’s service to Trinidad and Tobago and to the regional trade agenda in his capacity as Ministerial Spokesperson for Bilateral Trade Agreements, as well as the representative of Trinidad and Tobago on the Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED).

“His contribution has helped to determine the regional trade agenda and his drive and verve have certainly assisted in propelling that agenda, which has yielded and continues to yield tangible results,” she said.

Applewhaite, on behalf of CARICOM, on Wednesday extended condolences to Valley’s relatives.
