Homestretch accident victim still on life support

Homestretch Avenue accident victim, 10-year-old Sean Archibald is still on life support in the Intensive Care Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital, while the other three survivors are said to be doing fine and showing signs of improvement.

The driver of the route 48 minibus Jormin Jackson yesterday appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton and was charged with causing the death of Coretta Benjamin, Crazel Paul, Peter Mc Lennon, Junior Duncan, and Erica La Cruz by dangerous driving.

The accident took place while the bus was on Homestretch Avenue heading to Georgetown.

It was understood that the driver had been speeding and attempting to undertake another vehicle when the right rear tire punctured, causing the bus to topple several times.
