Guyana, Suriname to sign customs protocol soon

(De Ware Tijd) PARAMARIBO – Soon Suriname and Guyana will sign a Customs protocol to prevent smuggling and large-scale fraud with import duties. A similar agreement has already been signed with French Guiana. “We have signed a protocol with Customs in French Guiana to exchange information faster,” says August van Hamme, Suriname’s Chief of Customs. He says the agreement with Guyana is currently being prepared.
