An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 hit St Lucia today followed by a number of aftershocks, the Trinidad-based Seismic Unit of the University of the West Indies (UWI) has reported.
According to the Caribbean Media Corporation there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The quake was also said to have been felt in neighbouring St Vincent and the Grenadines and Martinique.
