A father and son were brutally hacked to death at Konawak, Region Eight yesterday and a police team has been dispatched to the area to investigate.
The names of the dead were given as Daniel Higgins Snr, 48, and Daniel Higgins Jnr, 22,, both of Main Street, Anns Grove, East Coast Demerara.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are sketchy.
When contacted Crime Chief Seelall Persaud could only say that there was a report of a murder in that area.
