The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 1230h. yesterday Timehri Public Road, EBD, and which resulted in the death of pedal cyclist Feliciano Clenkien known as ‘Shawn Hopkinson’, 20 years of Timehri Public Road, EBD.
Police say that enquiries disclosed that motor vehicle PMM 1817 was proceeding along the Timehri Public Road when it is alleged that the pedal cyclist attempted to cross the road from behind a parked car and was struck down. He was taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was pronounced DOA.
The driver of the motor car is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
