GT&T customers can win fully furnished houses in Xmas promotion

Even as telecommunication giant GT&T prepares to launch its Blackberry service in November, the company is intensifying its competition aggression with its existing services by way of giving back to customers two fully furnished houses in a gated community on the outskirts of Georgetown.

The company yesterday made the announcement as it launched its annual Christmas Promotion “Text, Talk, Top up” at the Pegasus Hotel parking lot Georgetown.

After a parade—complete with Santa sharing treats along the course—from Pegasus Hotel to its Brickdam headquarters, company officials explained the Christmas Wishes promotion. They said customers will be given a choice, from tomorrow to December 31 to accumulate points using any of the services provided such as texts SMS, EMS, and phone calls. Points will also be awarded for all calls and texts received.  Persons who would have accumulated the most points over the given period will then be eligible to enter one of two draws for one Christmas and the other for New Year’s.

Chief Executive Officer of the telephone company, Yog Mahadeo, said to the large gathering that the promotion was a way of saying thanks to all the valued customers who would have supported GT&T throughout the year.

Meanwhile, there was much talk by revellers and the public at the parade about the company’s launch of blackberry service. Reliable sources at the parade also told this newspaper that the company plans to launch its Blackberry service in November with huge giveaways.
