A Unity, East Coast Demerara farmer was brutally chopped about his body last evening at his home and is likely to lose his left hand which was left hanging from the wrist following the incident.

A relative told this newspaper that Oudho was intoxicated earlier in the night and the man went over to his neighbour’s house to part a fight. He said “he nephew been a beat up he wife and like he (Oudho) gone fuh part them and he end up getting chop”. The man’s wife noted that her husband and his nephew were involved in a scuffle following which the man’s nephew picked up a cutlass and dealt him several chops about his body.
