Post-mortem results have confirmed that 49-year-old Vernon Alexander of 47 Miles, Mabura Road was murdered. No suspect has yet been detained.
According to the post-mortem, the man died as a result of a blow to the head.
Alexander was found dead on the Mabura Public Road on Sunday by a close friend. When the discovery was made residents were convinced that he was not a victim of a hit-and-run accident because of the state of the body.
The funeral is set for tomorrow.
