Pork knocker gets bail on unlawful wounding charge

Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry granted $30,000 bail to a pork knocker charged with unlawful wounding at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Randy Samuels, 25, allegedly wounded Simone Lewis on November 1 at Middle Road, La Penitence.

The accused denied the prosecution’s facts which read that on the said day he and Lewis had a misunderstanding and he became annoyed and pushed her, causing her to fall and hit her head. He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

He was ordered to appear in Court Six on November 8.
