Barbados was considered as hideout for Gaddafi son- report

(Barbados Nation) Barbados was among countries shortlisted as a possible hideout for former Libya leader Muammar Gaddafi’s son Saadi earlier this year, according to a Canadian newspaper.

The National Post reported last week that a bodyguard had offered security contractors money to transport Saadi to Barbados or Venezuela.

According to the paper, Gary Peters, the head of a Cambridge Ontario security company, tried to assemble a team to transport Saadi from the hot spot after the start of NATO air strikes in Libya.

Peters was reportedly offering CAN$1 000 (about BDS$1 966) a day to security contractors to extract the younger Gaddafi.
