The Ministry of Health is once again appealing to the general public to donate blood as currently the Blood Bank is experiencing a severe shortage.
A statement from the ministry today said that this situation is as a result of the numerous operations including open heart surgeries which were conducted recently.
The Ministry of Health Blood Bank is therefore encouraging donations from persons of all blood types. Both regular and new blood donors who are eligible for donation are urged to come forward and donate at the various Blood Bank sites.
