PM signs book of condolence for Sheila Holder

Prime Minister Samuel Hinds on Monday visited the Alliance For Change headquarters to extend condolences to party members and sign a book of condolence opened for the late MP Sheila Holder.

A Government Information Agency press release said the prime minister said he was saddened by the passing of the late AFC executive member. He also noted that he knew her husband Noel Holder with whom he attended Queen’s College. Hinds noted that government considers Holder’s loss to be a significant one and recognizes and appreciates her participation in the political arena.

In a release issued by the Office of the President, President Bharrat Jagdeo had also expressed his sympathy to Holder’s family and friends. “I have always found her to be a warm and friendly person who was passionate about consumer affairs. Sheila also serviced the National Assembly where she made contributions as a Member of Parliament,” he said.
