Collision: the driver of this route 47 minibus [BMM 9403], his conductor and his passengers narrowly missed severe injury after it was hit from the side by this blue Toyota Hilux [GNN 1016] at the intersection of Norton St and Cemetery Road. According to both the conductor and the driver of the bus, they had the right of way and were heading west along Norton St, when at the intersection the truck [heading south on Cemetery Rd] failed to stop before crossing the road, thus resulting in the collision. In an attempt to avoid the impact, the driver of the bus braked and attempted to swerve but it was too late. The driver of the truck Mohamed Amid in turn stated that the bus was speeding and it was they who hit him. Fortunately for all involved no one was seriously injured. (Abigail Semple photos)
