‘A brilliant piece’

Dear Editor,

Arif Bulkan’s brilliant piece ‘Would Cheddi have sold his house for $120 million?’ in Stabroek News (March 7) was simply a gem. His critics do not have the intellect, calibre or content to rebut his arguments, and as such have to resort to mudslinging that causes more embarrassment than good.

Dr Bulkan’s conclusion is that neither Dr Jagan nor Mr Hoyte, two former Presidents who are known to have put the country first would have exploited and raided the resources of the country in such a vulgar manner as the present incarnation of the PPP/C.

Readers should be aware that Dr Cheddi Jagan’s personal home in a good neighbourhood in New Haven, Bel Air was donated as a national heritage site to complement the treasures of the country.

This is simply one piece of evidence that makes Dr Bulkan’s conclusion real and verifiable.

Yours faithfully,
