Dear Editor,
On Friday, May 13 I opened Stabroek News and came face to face with a two-page report about a bin Laden “kill” plan, so I immediately went to the coffee shop and showed the report to five men there. We all agreed that it was not of interest to us; we want to read about a local police plan to reduce crime and catch criminals, when the over-flowing sewage will be fixed and other things that affect the lives of Guyanese.
Of course the six of us who showed no interest in the kill plan do not speak for all Guyanese; still, it is a sample of Guyanese who see that report as a waste of valuable news space.
