Deo, Adams win Oasis Café Pairs Golf Tourney

The pair of Vijay Deo and Carlos Adams came out on top of a field in Wednesday’s Oasis Café-sponsored Pairs Golf tournament at the Lusignan Golf Club.

Twenty-one pairs participated in the tournament, defying very wet conditions.

The format was a front nine of the players combined scores, while on the back nine holes the best score for each hole was recorded.

Deo and Adams scored a total of 121 minus their combined handicap of 35 for a winning score of 86 to emerge winners.

Banks DIH duo   Clifford Reis and Mark Lashley  gross 130, 43 handicap, net 87 secured the second position while third position went to the pair of  Patrick Prashad and  Colin Ming who scored a combined 112, handicap 23, net 89.
Nearest to the pin went to the team of Fazil Haniff and Kishun Bacchus.

Treasurer of the Lusignan Golf Club Brian Hackett thanked Oasis Café for its support which included catering sandwiches and lunch.

Proprietress Nisa Walker said she was proud to be associated with the club and added that as a bonus prize all the winners would be entitled to a free lunch at Oasis Cafe.

In the meantime, the golfers will be back in action next Wednesday (Mash Day) in the annual Kissoon Group of Companies Medal play Tournament which tees off at 09:00 hours.
