Khalil, Mekdeci tops Bounty Handicap squash tourney

Jason-Ray Khalil and Ben Mekdeci were the winners of the main category and category A respectively of the Bounty Farm Handicap squash tournament which concluded yesterday afternoon at the Georgetown Club courts.
Khalil defeated Brendon Mounter 15-10, 15-11 to win the final of the main category while Mekdeci defeated Lydia Fraser in the category A finals 15-13, 6-15 and 15-10.

Placing third in the main category was Deje Dias who overcame Alan Downes 15-11, 15-6 in their third place encounter.

In category A, Patrick Fraser copped third with a 15-11, 16-17, 17-14 win over Gabrielle Fraser.

In other prize matches Joshua Abdool defeated Mikhail Carto in the plate finals of the main category 13-15, 15-9, 15-7, while Jonathan DeGroot  defeated Andrew Peroune 12-15, 15-11, 15-12 in the finals of the category A plate.
A prize was also presented to Adam Alves as he was identified as the tournaments most improved player.
