Rain postpones Len’s Craft Optical/Sunburst OJ U-15 start once again

Bad weather once again daunted the spirits of Guyana’s future footballers when persistent overnight rainfall submerged the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) Ground and caused the commencement of the Len’s Craft Optical/Sunburst OJ U-15 Tournament to be postponed .

The inclement weather had prevented the opening day the previous Saturday because the ground was not fit for play.

Tournament coordinator of the Len’s Optical/Sunburst Orange Juice sponsored tourney, Franklin Wilson told Stabroek Sports that it was unfortunate a start to the event could not be possible once again, but once the weather holds up next week the tournament shall progress.

Yesterday the four matches scheduled to be played were Sunburst Camptown versus GFC, BK International versus Huston Stars, Flamingo versus Santos and Fruta Conquerors versus Renaissance.

The teams involved in this competition include Camptown, Western Tigers, GFC, Huston Stars, Flamingo, Santos, Conquerors, Renaissance, Pele and Riddim Squad.
