Young captures two events at Bartica Regatta

Dave Young won two races while there were wins for Orin and Sean Belle when the annual Bartica Regatta continued yesterday with the acquatic   events.
The day got underway around 11:00am with the 75-90 Horse Power (HP) three-lap race sponsored by Carib Beer.

That event was won by Orin Belle aboard the Iron Charlie with Clint Gonsalves aboard Miracle in  second position.

Young’s first win came in the 25-40 HP two lap race sponsored by Courts Furniture Limited with Gonsalves and Omar Hussain placing second and third respectively.
Younge returned later in the day to win the 25-40 HP 2 lap race sponsored by Carib.

In what was a Belle 1-2-3 finish, Sean Belle aboard Quicksilver, placed first in the third event of the day, the 115-200HP race sponsored by Guinness with Orin and Clarence Belle, second and third respectively.

In another 1-2-3 finish, Clarence Belle returned aboard Quicksilver to win the 115-200 HP  four-lap race sponsored by Macorp  beating Stephen Belle (Tatiana) and Conan Belle (Sir Conan) in second and third places respectively.

The five-lap 225 HP unlimited race sponsored by Guyoil was won by Neil Gonsalves ahead of Rundy and Clarence Belle while Rundy Belle came out victorious in the 225 HP unlimited race with Clarence Belle and Orin Belle taking second and third  places respectively.

Bobby Rasul won the first of two Jet Ski races with Mark Fagundez and Gavin Gouveia taking second and third respectively while Hamley Martindale took the top spot in the second Jet Ski race ahead of Fagundez.
