BCB and Rose Hall Club give $$ to Cricket Umpires Council

The Berbice Cricket Board and the Rose Hall Town, Youth & Sports Club on Thursday made financial contributions to the Guyana Cricket Umpires Council.

The money will be utilized to assist a delegation from the local association to attend the Annual Conference of West Indies Umpires in  St. Lucia.

President of the Berbice Cricket Board and Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club Keith Foster in handing over the contribution stated that both organisations are deeply committed to the development of cricket at all levels. He praised the Guyana Cricket Umpires’ Council for the work they are doing and for the roles they are playing in the development of the game. And on behalf of the BCB and RHTY&SC, he expressed the hope that the umpires conference would be a success and that important decisions would be taken in the best interest of West Indies cricket.

Meanwhile, President of the Guyana Cricket Umpires Council, Dhieranidranauth Somwaru in accepting the donations expressed gratitude to the BCB and RHTY&SC  and urged both organisations to continue the work they are doing in Berbice.
