Tucville, North Georgetown and Christ Church record wins

Scotiabank/Pepsi School Football Academy…

Tucville Secondary and North Georgetown girls and Christ Church boys team recorded victories when action in the ScotiaBank/Pepsi Schools Football Academy continued at the Carifesta Sports Complex (CSC) and National Insurance Scheme (NIS) Grounds recently.

In the female showdown North Georgetown defeated East Ruimveldt 5 – 0 and on Wednesday Tucville Secondary got past Queen’s College 3 – 1 while Christ Church Boys humbled St. George’s High School 3 – 1.

Thursday’s game saw North Georgetown’s Althea Holigan record a hat-trick as she scored in the first, 11th and 20th minutes and she received support from Kenesha Stewart who scored in the fifth and sixth minutes.

East Ruimveldt trailed by five at the half time whistle but showed much improvement in their performance in the second half.

However, they were still at a disadvantage since they played the entire game with nine players.

In the Tucville/QC match national Under-16 netball player Tasnica Lovell scored a double in the 29th and 52nd minutes following her teammate Assana Mc Anmon’s early success of scoring in the first minute while Tandica La Rose scored QC’s consolation goal in the 57th minute.

Over at the NIS Ground, Christ Church drew first blood through a Carlon Harris 15th minute goal then Azemeh Small equalized for the opposition in the 20th minute.

In the second half Nyron Joseph regained the lead for Christ Church when he scored in the 40th minute then Travis Fitzpatrick in the 56th minute to put the game well out of reach of St. George’s.

The competition continues today with two female games at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) Ground where East Ruimveldt faces Tutorial High School from 9:00 hours and Lodge Secondary meets North Georgetown from 10:15 hours.
