Golden Jaguars suffer luggage displacement at hands of LIAT

The ‘Golden Jaguars’ returned to Guyana yesterday afternoon from Barbados minus all the team equipment and most of the individual pieces for the players on their LIAT flight.

The team touched down at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport Timehri at around 13:42hrs yesterday and after clearing immigration found out that most of their equipment did not arrive. This prompted the Team Management to make alternative arrangements to ensure that the team is fully equipped since they were scheduled to leave Guyana this morning for Bermuda via the USA.

LIAT officials at the Airport had promised that the equipment and other luggage would have arrived in Guyana at 20:00hrs last night.

The team had checked in as normal at the Grantley Adams International Airport, Barbados just around 10:30hrs yesterday for their return journey to Guyana, the flight left Barbados at 12:00hrs.
