The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 1050h. yesterday on Sir David Rose Avenue, Mackenzie, and which resulted in the death of driver Garydon Massiah, 74 years of Amelia’s Ward, Linden.
Police say that investigations revealed that Massiah allegedly drove his motor vehicle GDD 1428 out of a fuel station unto the main road and collided with motor vehicle GJJ 2686 which was proceeding along the main road. As a result Massiah received injuries and was taken to the Linden Hospital where he was admitted and later succumbed, police said.
The driver of motor vehicle GJJ 2686 is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
