The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 0330h yesterday at Republic Road, New Amsterdam, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Suresh Jagmohan, 18 years, of Belvedere, Corentyne.
Investigations have revealed, police said, that Jagmohan attempted to cross the road and was struck down by a motor cycle driven by Sheldon Sampson, 26 years, of Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam.
As a result of the collision both men suffered injuries and were admitted to the GPHC where Jagmohan later succumbed.
