Police say that a post-mortem was today performed on the body of Khemraj Dass of Bella Dam, Klien Pouderoyen, WBD, by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh who gave the cause of death as an incised wound to the neck compounded by blunt trauma to the head.
On Saturday July 07, 2012, Dass was aboard a tug which was in the Demerara River, during which it is alleged that he had an argument with a man who stabbed him and threw his body overboard.
Police said that today Gilbert Gill, 19 years of Silver Hill, Linden Highway, appeared at the Providence Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Leslie Sobers charged with murder committed on Dass. He was remanded to prison until November 20, 2012.
