Police say that at about 1645h yesterday, acting on information received, Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri security officials found a packet containing 1 kilogram, 978 grams of cocaine in the vicinity of the western perimeter fence.
The narcotics have been handed over to the police who are conducting investigations.
It is the latest in a series of similar finds at the airport.
