Body of second missing Jamaica postal worker found

(Jamaica Gleaner) KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Constabulary Communications Network (CCN) has confirmed that the burnt body found near Port Royal on October 17 is that of missing postal worker Tandy Lewis.

The police said that a DNA test was done and the body positively identified as the 30-year-old woman who went missing from her Dunrobin Acres home in Kingston.

Firemen discovered the burnt body four days after Lewis was reported missing.

Her partially nude body was found in bushes with hands bound and a wire around the neck, post mortem also revealed that she was four months pregnant.

Police at the time said that the body was that of a teenager.

Tandy’s disappearance came less than two months after her co-worker Barrington Davis was abducted and killed.

Relatives yesterday said the positive identification has opened up questions as to why their loved one was killed.
