Canadian died of complications from wounds – post-mortem

The police this afternoon said that a post-mortem examination was today performed on the body of Canadian citizen Jean Le Blanc by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh who gave the cause of death as complications due to gunshot injuries.

There was no elaboration on the complications in the police release.

Le Blanc was one of the persons shot on October 15, 2012, at the GMR&SC compound, when armed men entered and opened fire killing Ricardo Rodrigues.

Le Blanc succumbed to his injuries on October 26, 2012 at the GPHC.

His death was viewed as suspicious as he had not suffered life threatening injuries and had been recovering well until a sudden deterioration the day before he died.
