Guyana, T&T safety and health firms set up local consultancy

A local safety and health consultancy is collaborating with a Trinidad and Tobago counterpart to create a comprehensive service entity aimed at applying solutions to safety and health challenges in both the public and private sectors.

Optimum Safety a private firm managed by local Health and Safety specialist Dale Beresford is teaming up OSH Tech of Trinidad and Tobago to create a specialized facility to serve both the public and private sectors.

Beresford, who has served the Georgetown City Council as a Safety and Health expert told Stabroek Business that the new facility, which will be formally launched on Wednes-day at the Cara Lodge will focus both on training and on special assignments designed to raise the level of safety and health consciousness at local workplaces.

OSH Safety Engineer Gary Joseph who is in Guyana for the launch of the collaborative initiative told this newspaper that that he was confident that his company can contribute, in collaboration with its local counterpart, to raising safety and health standards in Guyana.
