President visits Amaila Falls access road:President Donald Ramotar (with red cap) and a team of government officials yesterday toured the access road leading to the Amaila Falls project. Also in the team were Minister of Public Works, Robeson Benn and Walter Willis, Technical Adviser to the Government. According to GINA, Ramotar said “I’m pleased with what I’ve seen so far but I also recognize that there would be a lot of challenges in completing the work”. The access road has been controversial from the minute the contract was awarded two years ago. Contractor Fip Motilall was fired by the government this year and new contractors taken on. (GINA photo)
