Police say that at about 1930h last night, Wayne St. Hill, 31 years of Castello H/S, Georgetown, was shot and injured to his chest and right thigh by a man armed with a handgun.

At the time, St Hill was having a motor vehicle washed at a wash bay at Mandela Avenue, Georgetown.

Police say that the armed man escaped on foot after the shooting.

Investigations are in progress.
