The police say they are investigating the murder of Rojen Basdeo, 39 years of No.0 Village, Corentyne, which occurred at about 2330h last night on a cattle ranch in the backdam at No.56 Village, Corentyne.
Police say that initial investigations have revealed that Basdeo and other workers were imbibing, when an argument developed between himself and another man during which he was chopped to his neck with a cutlass. He was pronounced DOA at the Skeldon Hospital.
The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
