Contractors granted bail after allegedly assaulting each other

A male and a female contractor yesterday appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton accused of assaulting each other and were put on bail.

Conrad Adams was yesterday placed on $25,000 bail after he was accused of assaulting and using abusive language to June Bacchus. The court heard that on April 29 at Duke Street, Kingston, Adams assaulted Bacchus so as to cause her actual bodily harm and he also used abusive language to her.

Bacchus was also charged with assaulting Adams to cause him actual bodily harm on the same day.

When given a chance to speak it was revealed to the court that the two are both 32 years old and both live in Sophia and at the time of the incident they were contractors on the same building.

They were asked by the magistrate to sign an undertaking to have nothing to do with each other and  they both agreed.

The two are scheduled to return to court on May 8.
