A man died this evening after a drive- by shooting on Sussex Street, Charlestown.
Around 7.30 pm Aman Lalchand, 32, known as Randy was standing on Sussex Street when he was fired at by men in a car. Lalchand was rushed to the hospital where doctors fought desperately to save his life to no avail.
Lalchand had been before the courts many times. In 2009, he was freed of the charge of the murder of the execution-style murder of George Barton in 2008. He had also been charged with several robberies.
